It is probably considered a 'sporting event' but the law states they still MUST POST (30.06).

Anyone know if it's posted?

I wonder what makes it professional. It doesn't look like it is PBR.

*shrug*

Thanks though!

pretty much like this..

if anyone is winning a prize then its professional.

if they are only handing out trophies then its not.

im sure its legaly defined in the code, but im not where i can look that up right now.

A professional Sporting event is one in which the participants are paid.

Ok, yeah that is what I was thinking. It is their "profession".

So does anyone know if the RodeoAustin contestants are being paid??  I guess if they say something like "grand prize $50,000" then I know they are being paid.   =]

Thanks all!

I thought the point of going to the rodeo (austin) was to drink beer with your friends?
(and no carrying when doing so)

ETA: if no carrying....stay away from the midway (I'm old school rodeo kinda....grew up at the bbq cookoff about 25 years ago)
seen more bad fights at the midway than anywhere else
