Im looking for a case trimmer for my rifle brass, Im sick of using the hand trimmer and am looking for something powered. I was thinking the Dillon, Possum Hollow. I dont know how reliable the drill bit trimmers are?  any suggestions?
I will be loading 5.56 and 30.06 on my dillon 650.

i use the rcbs power case trimmer and have been since the middle 90's.  works great accurate.  i load 223  308 270 7mm 338 and so on. no problems what so ever. i'm not sure if they changed it from the one i have but it still looks the same.
hope this helps

Giroud is generally considered the mfg. of the very best case trimmers available...

The possum hollow trimmer is pretty nice.  I ran a few thousand 223 through mine and it was a breeze.  Did it over a couple of nights watching tv.

The downside is that it is set from the neck of the case. I am getting a power adapter for my redding. The guiard is suppose to be the fastest most accurate but most expensive.

The giraud and the possum hollow both index off the shoulder.  There is no difference there.

BTW...if you get the possum hollow get the attachment that lets you chuck it up in your cordless drill.  I forgot that was a seperate piece.  I also bought a debur/camfer tool that will fit in it (I think RCBS) to make that a power process also.

I had the Dillon, but switched to the Giraud years back, and I'm very happy.  The Giraud chamfers and trims at the same time, and it's quicker.

Just got a Thumbler Tumbler, have a Forster Co-Ax on backorder and 2,000 .308 casings due this week. The Giraud is without question my next purchase. After watching someone trim a case manually the $440 price tag is well worth it.I'm in no rush,I'll get components as they come available.
