Been gone for awhile. Just wondering what happened to the Cecil Webb get togethers ?
If they're still going on where is it posted ?

Do they surf Arfcom and watch for the announcements? Just wondering why no one advertises the shoots here like they used to.

well its a long story. but the short part is the range now has ROs and some things started getting a little , oh whats the wording, serious. we started the whole thing to meet each other and have fun. i've made several new friends because of the shoots. I think most of us would like to get it back to what is was: good folks, having a good time, and having fun.

If you get there early and during the week theres like one guy and hes usually decent, but around 1 or so the assholes come out

Yes we do need to start getting back to the way it was so lets make a day and plan the dam time and have some fucking fun.

The RO's really aren't that bad. They will yell at you for shooting pistols at the rifle range

and I got yelled at for bump firing without paperwork

but other than that, they are basically lazy and harmless.

That being said, shoots can be planned by anyone who wants to call out the guys!!! I have been very busy the last couple of months with camp/shoots, Miami shoots, shot shows and other assorted gun outings and have actually missed a couple of MG shoots due to things being so busy. I personally have not had a need for additional shooting events.
We can plan a shoot anytime.....look for a post on Sunday.

i had my M1A out at the 200 yard range last week. I saw the RO once. never stepped foot near that range. I have heard stories about them from other customers. Honestly that place needs supervision. They just needed to hire ROs who weren't ignorant.

I always wanted to go to one. Too bad Tom does not get involved anymore. I don't know if thats who you guys don't speak of or not though. Seems like a hell of a lot of background drama though. Did this person basically tell everyone here to F off or something like that?

eh does not really matter I guess. Whatever drama you guys had I am sure does not go to the range as well, right? I mean I would love to go to a shoot and meet all of you but if its big drama fest then I would rather not as I am sure others wouldn't.

BUT

If it involved food fun and firearms and no BS drama I still want to get to one.

Is the reason you guys dont advertise really because of the ROs? I cant see how having a get together would be prevented by an RO. Do they really hassle big groups like that?
