My wife and our daughter will be visiting Boise. We're thinking of making a home in Idaho; not right away but in the next year or two at most. Heard from friends it's a great place to live. I have lived in CA most of my life. I'm finally done with anti-gunners and corrupt politicians in this so called liberal state. My dream is to live like a free man. I know most people in ID don't care much for people from CA, personally I don't blame you....some of these people here just don't get it. Rest assured I'm not coming to ID to change things. I just like how you all live - We envy that and would love to be part of it. Anyone know of any good places to live. I don't mind the city but prefer something just outside Boise. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I thought you lived there already, or was it Idaho Falls? Or am I completely off my rocker? Quoted:

Depends what kind of environment you want and how far you want to be. If you are willing to be an hour out from Boise you have choices between farmland, rolling hills, desert, forests or suburbia. The closer to Boise you want to be the less choices you have. What you want will determine where you look. I guess more specifics on what you are looking for would help. I live an hour from Boise and commute for work. Don't mind it most of the time but a lot of people think I'm crazy for it. On the other hand I live where there is much less government intervention in my life and I have more space to do the things I enjoy. Feel free to ask again as you get closer to making a decision. Good luck.

Good luck. That's something I'll have to figure out. Probably be based on where I can get work. Some place where I don't have to drive too far from the city to find a place to shoot. As far as government intervention goes; I'm sure it will be no where near as bad as CA. Appreciate it. Thanks. |
