I need to find a small "mom and pop" type gun store in and around Chino, CA, any recommendations?

A little back story, a kid (no shooting experience) I used to work with in California wanted a gun for home defense; Turners sold him a Glock 21C. While it is a nice weapon, I think it might be a little much for a new shooter. I gave him some recommendations as far as gun type, but I need a store in or around Chino that will work with him in searching for a weapon to learn on.

How about a Mossberg 500 Pump shotgun... Best home defense for the money !!!!!!!!

I suggested that as well, I am not sure why he doesn't want something along those lines.

Sorry to make another comment but...... Remind him of the fact that a bullet will travel further than some 12GA. Birdshot or even Buckshot. People have been hurt and killed by stray bullets in many situations. Just felt the need to say that...
