I wouldn't normally post something this, but it has seriously affected me health wise.

On the 19th I ate at the Chipotle on Litchfield Rd & McDowel around 3pm in the WV, had the chicken burrito w/ Medium sauce, cheese and rice, later that night between 9:30 &10:00pm I became very ill, and was taken to the Banner Estrella Hospital ER, while the bloodwork showed clear they treated me for GI & Food Poisoning & Abdominal Pain.

Today is the 22nd and I feel as about good as I did when i went in with the exception I can sleep off about 80% of the day and still feel like hammered dog poop.  Whatever was in that shit they call food has caused serious acid problems in my system, so far the PPI drugs I was prescribed don't work, the ER Doctors recommended Maalox but its not doing anything either just tastes like paste and salt afterwards.

I'm not sure if my stomach acids will reverse to the normal state or not right now it feels like its 3 times the acid that I normally have.  I am predicting though that I will lose the remainder of 40 lbs very soon especially at this rate of few solid foods and sleeping through most of the day.

I have to follow up later today with the ER Facility Doctor and let them know what hasn't happened and what has gotten worse, fortunately no pain on my right lower side....knock on wood!

Whats worse fearing what the next day will bring or fearing what foods will cause more misery?

I did finally come back from CO though, I really liked it up there....going back again soon.

Just consider it an old fashion AZ welcome back

As long as nothing starts hatching in your blood stream you will probably be alright. I think... hope it clears soon and take care

Not that I'm standing up for Chipotle in any way, because i get sick every time i eat there. Though not to the degree you did.  What did you eat the prior 24-36 hours before that?

Been there, done that. Feels like you are passing acid when you drop a deuce? I would suggest yogurt, and alot of fluids. Keep your diet simple and bland for a few days. Then slowly start to get back to your normal eating.

It sucks but it will get back to normal in a week or two. I lost 20 pounds in the last food poisoning episode. I thought I was going to die, but here I am. Do not expect to be able to eat normal portions for a week or two. I would be stuffed on the smallest amount of food.

Good Luck!

Damn do I miss AZ!

What maximak said;

Drink lots of water to flush your system and keep yourself from getting dehydrated, bland food, and rest. I'd also recommend spending time mostly sitting up, like in a recliner, to minimize exposure of acid to your esophagus. Let your immune system do it's thing

It took 3 days for me clear up after I ate something at the jack in the box on I-10 near palm springs.  I was hunched over for those 3 days i was visiting.. it was when I was not living here yet.  I was visiting the bathroom every 20-30 min.

I have been eating at chipotle about 2-3x a month for over 3 years because my work is close by.  I have never ever had a problem.  That being said, I think you should write their corporate and let them know, once you are sure, it came from there.  if it is a reoccuring issue they will see the pattern and hopefully act.

Breakfast normal routine cereal and milk.

Update:

Took me something like 1 week afterward to get over it,  I went to paintball on that Sunday and played 2 games and called it quit, the great feeling lasted for about 30 minutes.

I did have another similar case of the same earlier this month, but it was due mexican food and the spices, I was able to sleep that off.

I did realize though that without prilosec or prevacid I will have issues.

Its actually been shown that the majority of food poisening happens at home due to improper handling of food and people just flat out not washing their hands, counter tops, and other areas that are touched.  Food poisening typically doesnt hit within a few hours like it did to you.  I highly doubt Chipotle caused it.

Did you wash your hands before you ate the burrito?  Probably not.  I really have not sympathy for people who get sick due to lack of hygiene on their part.
