My local town of Cleveland Texas has lost it's dam mind. Lastnight there was a Christmas parade and not only did they have 3 Santa's but one of the floats was better suited for Halloween time. They were draging a fake dead body behind it, Santa had a chainsaw, zombie type people were walking beside the float scareing the kids & the float had dead bodies with there guts hanging out. What has happened to the Christmas spirt.

Most stuff is on FB but here is a link

I wasnt there. I found out about it as people started talking on facebook locally. From what i undrrstand the cops even told them dragingbthe body was a bad idea and not taste full but they let them continue on. The wife found a video of it and peoole were shouting Boo's & thats not right at them. The mayor says he will talk to the company that did it.... which is a haunted house company. Its just sad that people even think of doing it much less the people in front or behind the float that didnt say something before it started.

Zombies and fake dead bodies in Christmas parade?  That was totally f*cked up in the head.

I was there.  It wasn't a dummy being dragged, it was some dude with heavy coveralls and knee and elbow pads.  I didn't think it was the most appropriate thing, but I hate to admit that I did chuckle a bit.  I saw the cop talking to the guy being dragged and thought he was going to make them stop, but he let it go.  The city should exercise a little more discretion about what floats are allowed.  But hey, its Cleveland after all.  The best item was the girl scouts anyway (my little one got to march).

You know I would probably have gotten a kick out of it but I can see it being a little much for the kiddos.

What did the city expect from a haunted house company? Sounds like a cluster fuck to me.

Maybe it wasn't Santa, but Krampus?

East Texas is a LOT different.  That entire area around Cleveland is scary as hell.
Too many backwoods, deliverance type of people there for me.
