I was reading Cowboy's post about his new go bag ( nice post by the way) when it reminded I have been meaning to ask a question about compasses. It seems trying to find a good quality wrist watch compas is about near to impossible.

Any one have a good one they would recommend and provide a line to?

I have tried a few and I seem to break them within a few days. They have all been "cheap" ones and not verry accurate at all.

Thanks for the info.

This is the lil Brunton were trying to work onto paracord bracelets.

It works ok but I haven't worn it out of the house yet. Beyond that, I've always used the good ole usgi compass.

I wouldn't trust it to be much more than a general direction type thing.

I got tired of looking for a quality watch band mounted compass.  Everything I could find was junk. So I decided to look at all-in-one wrist watch / computers.

The models I have used and like:

Casio Pathfinder Solar PAW -1300
Suunto Vector
Tissot T-Touch

I am also wanting to try a newer Suunto Core model sometime in the near future.

I also have a Suunto A10 manual compass for backup.

That would be a cool add on to a para bracelet.

The only compass I own is one that I've had since I was a boy scout.  It's attached to my bob.

Last month I purchased a wrist compass after a few days research. Went with the Cammenga Wrist Compass and have been very pleased.

It is a dry compass and has some rattle, but it is relatively unnoticeable and not near what some reviews made it seem. I have used it a bit and love it.

I think for the money it's hard to beat. Accurate and quick, extremely lightweight. Comes on a relatively cheap, black nylon strap. I swapped it onto a not-quite-as-cheap 22mm NATO that I cut to fit the 16mm lug width.
