I live in Leesburg and I am looking for the best place to take the CCW class. I have read all of the negative comments about Silver Eagle and Blue Ridge. Recommendations?

I'm going to say go with John. I feel strongly enough about this that I sent my wife to his class. She took the class in Culpeper and I think he does them in Winchester too.

Another unequivocal endorsement for John Murphy of FPF Training. Lots of options if you want to learn to punch holes in paper; John teaches marksmanship skills in a defensive context.

Another endorsement here for John at FPF Training.

John doesn't ignore the 3rd leg of the gun handling/marksmanship/mindset triad.  He starts off his classes with an excellent couple hours of situational awareness & threat indicators discussion that alone is worth the cost of his CCSD (concealed carry for self defense) course.  I've taken a few of John's courses and learn something new every time.
