A C&R is $30.  You don't create anything, are you thinking of an LLC?

There is a whole thread about this subject up above, Everything you need to know for NFA Ownership in MO.

Step 1- decide what to name your LLC ( A Trust will not work)
Step 2- Get the LLC registered with SOS MO $58 to register, Remaining setup with Feds and St MO free.
Step 3- Get C&R in LLC Name. $30
Step 4- Acquire items and submit proper forms and $$ for taxes. $200 for each NFA Item.

All you need is the C&R license.
Some will tell you to form an LLC and get the C&R in the LLC name and bypass the CLEO sign-off & prints.  My personal standpoint is that it may be easier short-term to go that route but you will have long-term maintenance on the LLC.
An individual has to submit the prints and get the papers signed by the CLEO but in my honest opinion its the better way. More hoops initially but once the papers are approved you don't have to worry about maintaining an LLC (paper entity).
The other side of the coin is you will have to maintain the C&R.

My $.02

What kinda suppressor you looking at?

Don't you have to maintain the C&R with an LLC also?

I thought I said that in the bold red ..  I re-read it and I could see where one could have misunderstood the statement.

You have to maintain the C&R regardless of individual or LLC.  But as an individual I don't have to file yearly LLC papers, tax-returns, etc.  So yes there is a maintenance issue either way .. but all I have to do as opposed to an LLC is simply renew the license every 3 years .. much simpler if you ask me.

Not sure what suppressor yet, i won't be out of college for another year (probably won't have enough to buy one till i'm out of college) but i want to get the ball rolling now.  I will likely get SBR before the end of the year though, that is my first priority.

It just makes my head spin on how many hoops i have to jump through just to get a stupid rifle with a barrel less than 16", makes me almost turn away but i know i would regret it if i didn't do it
