It is a small world... While in the mens room at work today, I happened upon this magazine hanging from the rack and figured I'd take a gander at it while finishing my business. As I casually thumbed through the pages, it didn't take long to realized I was reading a liberal, puke, hippie, piece of trash like Tampa's "TBT". About a third the way through this liberal drivel, I stopped thumbing at an Anti-Bush/ Anti-War article. Creative Loafing About the author... Needless to say, I didn't need to spare a square... The odd thing is, before 1987 when FL passed their CWL, open carry was the only manner of carry permitted. Concealed would get you arrested. Prior to 1987, I can only recall gas station attendants & jiffy mart clerks being the ones that openly carried. Nobody gave a shit, anymore than they gave a shit about guns & knives at our highschool in the 80's. Nobody but the anti's give a shit now. If FL went to open carry, I would expect a similar reaction. Who gives a damn, cops carry openly, detectives in plain clothes carry openly, hell I'd love nothing more than for CWL holders to be able to carry openly. I suspect all you'd ever encounter is someone asking about your carry piece & leather. Incidently, his experience about being self conscience is typical with all folks who carry concealed for the first time. Can't wait to go to GA and visit the inlaws, think I'll sport the P220 in the Alessi holster. |
