| Anyone know anything about the DFW Gun Range in Dallas? I am looking for a place to practice and this place is close to me. |
|
since no one else is biting... don't know anything about DFW. i normally shoot pistols at elm fork on luna road south of 635. used to shoot rifles at collin county gun range, but they're closed down now, so i'm looking for a new long gun range. if i'm really jonesing, i'll hit the bullet trap in plano, but i loathe indoor ranges. |
I'd go anywhere else but Bullet Trap -- assholes own and run the place. If I want to be treated like crap, I won't pay for it. Was a regular for many years but no more. Won't put my foot through the door. |
| Be carefull going to DFW Gun Range.Other than Joe the gunsmith I wouldnt turn my back on them. One of them (the skinney guy) is on drugs real bad so don't try to piss him off. He's not all there if you get my drift.heOh yea this coming from an EX employee |

I shoot there from time to time. I've never had any issue with them. They even let my buddy (who wasn't shooting that day) go back on the range with me. I have seen them get cross with folks that were being asshats. I've also seen them so busy (on the weekends) that I didn't even bother going in. They do have a great selection of rental pistols, anytime I'm inclined to buy a new pistol I usually drop by there to try that model out first. They also allow FMJ rifle ammo, which is a big plus compared to many other ranges in the DFW area, and they sell Winchester Ranger T to non-LEOs. Only the downside it's only a 25 yard range and you're stuck with firing either offhand or leaning over the bench. |
Yeah I can support the above comment, and as LONG as You ARE ONLY Going to shoot... It will be a good experience. |
Even the range master is rude and full of himself.
