I might have watched a season of Dallas Swat and noticed after they got done demolishing a facility a suspect was thought to be in, they would only net a few arrests and little (if any) convictions.  They were so proud of wrecking buildings, mis-stating  "automatic weapons" that I just took them out of my program lineup.  I can see cool weapons on plenty of other shows.  YMMV

I lost all respect when they rappelled off the roof of a one story building to raid a "modeling studio". End of show it was shown that they didn't make any arrests.

Less than impressive.

I think one of the guys from the show got fired for having sex with a prostitute. It was on a thread here a few weeks ago.

i noticed that they do a lot of property damage for getting people that commit not so violent crimes, such as drug dealers and what not.

i watch COPS every now and then, and it seems like regular cops have done similar raids with better results.

I've not seen this episode, but have heard of it plenty of times.   Whenever "Dallas Swat" show comes up in discussion this episode is always up for a good laugh.   The "Swedish Modeling Institute", was a whore house, that was open for business for a couple years.  I was always surprised how it continued to stay open...out in the open.

Yep, one episode they pretty much ripped the front off of a suspected drug house and ended up getting one guy inside with a small personal use amount of pot on him (i don't even think they arrested him).

It was the Sweedish Massage Institute.  There used to be one on Mark IV Parkway, just down the road from cheaper Than Dirt, in Fort Worth.  And no, I've never been a customer there.

They went to Houston before they approached Dallas about the show. The SWAT Lt told the producers of how they train 90 % of the time and its not as exciting as it may seem. Would make for a pretty boring show, so they packed up and went to Dallas. Didn't one of the guys on the show get arrested for picking up a crackwhore prostitute?

My favorite was a SWAT member ID'ing a SKS as a "AK-47 Machine Gun".

Kansas City SWAT is just as bad about the "no arrest" thing. last episode I watched they did 3 raids and a car chase, neither one did they get the person they were after. They all said "He/She IS there" and then later said "They were arrested later".

Im not an LEO so I cant sit here and talk too much smack, but you would think a little more info would b gathered first... IMO
