Same problem, I'm going to have to spray them again today as I noticed the yellow jackets were starting to build another nest. I am going to try spraying down the area with a bleach based cleaner too to hopefully kill any of their scent from the spot so they won't be attracted back. |

When I was paying for pest control they used a powder application on both the fence and the house that successfully deterred them from nesting in the area. There was a substantial amount due to the proximity to the lake and the amount of flowering plants in the area. I am unsure what the powder is called but a Google search should help.
