How do you keep these little bastards from coming back? They built two paper nests on my patio and I tore them down. They started building again the next day.

Keep spraying, they'll not come back soon enough. Its a never ending battle.

Tear down the patio. They won't be able to come back to it ever again

Same problem, I'm going to have to spray them again today as I noticed the yellow jackets were starting to build another nest.  I am going to try spraying down the area with a bleach based cleaner too to hopefully kill any of their scent from the spot so they won't be attracted back.

Home Depot has 2 cans of decent spray for $5.00. It works, doesn't stain other than window residue.

The apartment complex  I live in shoots the wasps with spray and then leaves the nest up.  No more wasps coming around.

You kill them when you see them. Nature's not going to just up and go away.

When I was paying for pest control they used a powder application on both the fence and the house that successfully deterred them from nesting in the area. There was a substantial amount due to the proximity to the lake and the amount of flowering plants in the area. I am unsure what the powder is called but a Google search should help.

Mozambique: http://store.doyourownpestcontrol.com/flying-insect-control-products/wasp-control-products There are some powders available there. Can't help much more.
