| I'd have to check a barrel extension at the shop to be sure but I think the pin hole may go all the way through. If so, it's a matter of removing the barrel extension and just driving the pin thru, reinstalling the extension & installing a new pin. I presume you didn't have the barrel clamped in a vise and you were holding the receiver instead? |

I presume you didn't have the barrel clamped in a vise and you were holding the receiver instead? Precisely. But the "vise" was just putting the stock between my feet. I wasn't applying a whole lot of torque, either. I was putting the brake on to determine which shim setup I was going to have to use. |

A field expedient method, as in, no other choice, is to take a 3/4" open end wrench and hook it thru the front sight assuming you have a std. front sight. Worst case is you'll cant the sight. I'll try to remember to check the barrel extension that I have. Next step will be to find a pin and someone with a barrel extension wrench. A witness mark will need to be scribed into the barrel & extension so once it's removed, it can be reinstalled to the same spot. You barrel nut must have been pretty loose if it took so little effort to break the pin. |

I just called and spoke to Joel, who was very cool and didn't even laugh at me. He said, "No big deal. That happens when people do that sometimes. You cover shipping, we'll drill it out and pound a new one in for you." I'll let you know how it goes. |

I received the barrel back from Noveske. They drilled the old pin out & tapped a new one in.
They even blasted it again to remove all the surface scrapes & scratches. They sent it back to me on thier dime, and threw in a sticker with the firebreathing pig logo on it. $0.00 How awesome is that! |

Seeing this kind of stuff makes you not second guess a purchase from them! |
