I did the GBI's written assessment so it may be different but it was basically a can you read and write test. Grammar and Spelling questions. Sentence structure - somewhat grammar related. |

The written exam is probably the POST entrance exam. When I was looking at getting hired by DCPD back in the '90's, they had a study guide, but they had both the POST entrance exam and their own exam, I think. If it's the POST entrance exam, it's either the ASSET or Compass Exam, which is the same test you'd have to take to enroll in a college in GA. I took the Compass a couple years ago at Gwinnett Tech and it wasn't that bad. Petty basic stuff and if you've graduated from high school you shouldn't have a problem. Google "post entrance exam ga compass" and you'll find a bunch of info. |

Not so good at math ![]() Don't stress over it. Every P.O.S.T. certified officer in the state has taken that test. I've worked around some really stupid people, and they passed the test . You'll be fine, just look up some practice tests online and it'll all be ok!
