I do not expect to see anything about this on the nightly news. But if they did, I imagine a headline something like: "NICS checks (the system used to perform instant background checks for all gun purchases) hit an all-time record during December, topping out at over 2 million more than the average of around 750,000 per month for the first 7 1/2 years of the program." Oh, and that is not counting purchases at gun shows, you know, the “gun show loop hole.”

What really sucks....
Unless I got this incorrect, there are like 84MM (1000x1000 or Million - I came from a time they actually taught Roman Numerals) gun owners. Really? If that is true, only 4MM belong to the NRA. OK, forget that.
Less than 84MM gun owners can't make a significant percentage of consolidation to make a loud enough voice to push the fuck back?
We have large trees in our 50+ year neighborhood, I am scared witless by them as 2 have fallen on my house in the last storm and assuredly killed some fine people. I demand the government make a law to necessarily "top" trees over 35 feet, for the CHILDREN. Bah humbug.... |

Another dimension is the geographic concentration of firearm owners. NJ is one of the most populated states in the country, yet it accounted for only 0.36% of December’s NICS transactions. I am sure the numbers are similar for CA, IL, MA, NY, and other Liberal states.
IMHO, representation in the House of Representatives is very biased against gun ownership. Thank God for the Senate. However, not coincidental in my book, the Dems are now calling for reform of the Senate filibuster rules. They are softening their target by eliminating the 60% majority requirement for the Senate. If they are successful, the Senate can pass laws with a simple 51% majority. |

That cumbag Reid maybe be a boxer, but I'd like to see if that balless wonder ever had the ability to procreate. He is a slithering snake POS. |
