OK...

I happened to LEGALLY come across a decent size lump of cash, and I will be returning to washington for 3-4 days.

Skillets needs a new toy

I have narrowed it down to, a Robinson XCR, or an M1A

What do you all think?

probably not which is too bad. I also suggest the m1a maybe even an m1 carbine from the cmp they are for sale now.

There are already lots of M1A/M14SA's in the group. Including the one in my safe. Buy us an XCR to play with.

(P.S. I voted M1A anyway. )

Buy a M1A and call it "Debbie"

<Silly_Look gazes off in distance and thinks to himself "Debbie...you fucking whore!  God I loved you!">

I'd get the M1A, but I'm a little bit of a traditionalist.

Due to my crappy eyes (which seem to get crappier each year).  My LRB will have to have the picatinny mount.

Oh wait, this thread is about you, not me.  You should get the XCR because you are young and have already scratched the GI rifle itch.

If your decent size lump of cash isn't sufficient for both, get teh M-14!

If an M1A is an option, an M1A is the answer.

That's nice.   Very nice.

My collection won't be complete without an M1A / M14.  Should I get the LRB with the integral mount or stay true to the GI configuration?

Being the M14/M1A already has the scope mount...mount () on the side, I would stay true G.I. and get the regular LRB M1A. Then get the best mount out there, the billet Titanium M1A mount from Sadlak Industries and add optic.

I voted XCR.

The M1A/M14 just isn't my cup of tea.
