Probably, but it depends on getting the .260 zeroed at 200 and 1000yds.
If that happens, then the answer is yes

I'm going. I'm hoping an educated guess will get me on at 1000 and 200 with my 260!
It worked last year........... ( a bit high at 200 though)

I blame the gunsmith!

Oh sorry Mark, did I conveniently forget to mention I won the 1000 yard stage.......

If anyone knows of a 1000 yard zero session coming up though I'd be interested.

Well I would normally tell you about one, but I feel affronted.
Actually there is something in the offing, but we might need to expand it.

I can't make my mind up.

Last year the ETR was a fiasco; not well organised, rushed, scores cocked up and stages changed or dropped.  Would like to shoot the 6XC at 1000 yards but without a chance to zero beforehand could be a waste of 24 shots.

No, just made my mind up, not going.

Have fun.

Scaredy cat.
Cowardy cowardy custard. Hosepipe's as yellow as mustard.

Actually I don't give a toss about the ETR, but it's 2 tears since I last shot 1000yds.

The Remy needs an airing too. It's a superb rifle and doesn't get used nearly enough

The Kemble Supreme hosted by LPSC has been cancelled due to lack of entries, the ETR Range booking at Longmoor will however go ahead as planned and is open to guests at a cost of £10.00 for a whole days shoot.  Got to be a bargain for those that are interested.  Contact Ken Green at "[email protected]"

Well I did say that the LPSC couldn't organise a piss up in brewery didn't I

Shame,  though might have something to do with the fiacso they created last year.

No need to be nasty.  You are right thought it is a shame they had to cancel, doubt it will ever be on the calender again.

As a matter of interest, does anyone know how many had entered Vs. the number required to run it Vs. the number of LPSC members?

Apparently it costs about £560 to hire Longmoor for the day.
It also costs £65.60 per day for a lane at Bisley.
I would imagine they booked at least 5 lanes and if they need markers for 1000yds, they're an extra £45 per day.
All in all quite expensive.
Entry fees were £35

That's sort of where I was heading...

5x 100m Lanes, plus markers = £541
2x McQueens Targets on Siberia (4 lanes), plus 2 markers = £342.80
Longmoor for the day = £560

Total for the day = £1443.80, or minimum of 42 shooters to not run it at a loss...

How many shooters attended in the past?

LPSC would normally be out of pocket to some degree for this event but must have had a particularly poor entry so as not to make it financially viable. They are, however, still running the ETR day at £10.00 a head and will probably make a loss on that as I doubt they'll have 56 entries.

It's fine for the MoD to cancel our bookings at short notice, but for a civvie club to cancel at short notice invites disatisfaction at the least, and possible overtime charges anyway, and poorer chance of getting bookings later on.

I have been following this thread with intrest, especially the cost's that are incurred, and the ammount of shooter's required to make the event a do-able thing.

Every shooter has a duty to do his best to participate in something like this, to keep the sport alive, and confirm his requirement for owning gun's through any certificate's awarded for participating or even for achievment for winning.

I guess I'm lucky, My club has a joining fee €500:00 and a yearly charge of €100:00, the first year is the worst as you are out of pocket, considering that guest's have to pay €12:00 for an hour on the range, I have got my money back in many way's in just two year's membership, the range is open three day's a week and depending on my shift I try to get to the range at least once a week, last week I was there on all three range day's and fired in access of over 450 round's through my FR8/XR15/Glock 17.

Having read the above it seem's to appear as a rant, sorry as it wasnt meant as such.

There's quite a few of on here that do Tony, although as most of us have shot PR for quite a  few years, enthusiasm has waned.
However, these types of matches are good fun, especially if you've never tried it before.
Highpower and Service Rifle are bloody good events too.
But, where you say "Every shooter has a duty to do his best to participate in something like this, to keep the sport alive", is all very well.
I've tried on numerous occasions to get some of the posters on here to come along to some of the events, and I've always been met with utter apathy

I won't do it anymore

Regarding the comments about not entering the Kemble, mea culpa, but I've got a note from me Mum.  Not really but the rifle isn't back as yet (no it isn't with Jabba) so couldn't take the chance on laying out 36 squid on the off chance I'd have it back in time.  Good excuse and I'm sticking to it.  I'm screwed for East Holme as well as I'm booked up that night and wouldn't get back in time.  End of winge

Hiya Mark,

What a shame that I'm so far away, I'd love to have a go at some of the range's that you all talk about, the only range's that I get to shoot at these day's are up to 300m's.

There are over 300 member's in my club, of which 40 are considered regular shooter's, then there are the hard core (to which I belong) of about 15 who use every opertunity to shoot everything that they own.

Last week one of the other patron's was watching me shoot, one mag after another through my XR15 and was collecting my bras as he handload's and I don't. Told me not to shoot as much, and couldnt understand why I started laughing. My only coment was that every bullet that I didnt manage to shoot that is in my locker would pi$$ me off if I was to pass away before the next range day. I do smoke, I don't drink (on a regular basis), I don't have or want a flashy motor, but I do want to shoot. I'd consider quitting the weed before stopping shooting.

I wasnt having a go at anyone, I take it on par that everyone who contribute's to this forum on a regular basis is a commited sportsman, and will do anything they can include begging stealing or even borrowing to be a part of any shooting event.

Sorry if I came over a bit strong.
