Has anyone used these guys for gunsmithing and Cerakote?
Looking to have them work on a Beretta 92. |
| I had a Glock 42 Cerakoted by them a few months back. I think they sent it out, but the turn around was pretty quick... less than two weeks. I don't know too much about the finer points of such things, but they did not plug the striker channel when the work was done. That is apparently an issue for some people (or so I've been told). The price was what you'd expect, and the color selections were adequate. |
| I usually go to Jo-Jo's for my gunsmithing but went to Delta for the hammer, trigger, and sear on my FAL. I can't speak to their diagnosis skills (because I knew the problem and supplied the replacement parts) but they did the install correctly and the price was reasonable. At the time, they did have a lot of repair guns in, so I did have to wait a little longer than I would have expected for the repair- but because I didn't want to leave the smith without (me) shooting the weapon (personal comfort factor) on this particular repair, Delta was the place to go. That said, I'm not sure what their capabilities are on work that doesn't involve parts swapping or tactical guns. I had previously contacted them about having a Pachmyr recoil pad ground to fit one of my over under shotguns. One of their people didn't think it was possible, the other knew it was possible and said they could figure out how to do it. I went to Jo-Jo's and had it back in hand 2 days later, beautifully done at a great price. |

A few of the gun shops send their stuff here.Liberty Coatings It is a big time industrial metal coating shop that has a cerakoting division. I wasn't sure I was at the right place at first but I was given a tour-they have all the equipment you could dream of. Also the owner is a gun guy as well. They do great work. For coating.
Certainly no gunsmithing. They can break down and reassemble, but beyond that JO-JO's where you want to be. For strictly coating, I'll go there again for sure. |

Quoted: I'm pretty sure liberty did the Colt M45's. Not a fan of the color but that vouches for their work. I had my XDm done by Battle Werx out of Delta.. Good price, 2 week turn around. Nice work. Not flawless but quite good. http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah189/thectsentinel/735882a4773cd8f393bb0107c1def97e_zpsi461p2yv.jpg I want to get my M95 cerakoted. |

I had used Delta for pinning and welding a flash hider a couple years ago. Service was reasonable and quick. Most importantly it was excellent. Really had to look close to find where it was drilled and welded.
NUCadet07 does Cerakote. I just had 8 lowers coated by him. Excellent job and price was fair. Check out the site. |

NUcadet07 does Cerakote and Microslick I believe. I've heard their work is great. I'm sure he'll chime in shortly.
NUcadet, contact him. Gunsmithing use JoJos, they are the only place I'll bring stuff that needs skills to do. The only work I've seen personally that was don't by delta was the threading on a rem700 that resulted in a first round baffle strike on the can. Maybe just a fluke but I wouldn't trust them after the way they offered to rectify the issue by giving a new barrel. Umm dude, the can is damaged, why aren't you buying the customer a new can? |

Sup bro, I hear you like Berettas? Me too... Got two more in the shop right now, one being one of my own.
Sardo and Edge have both been to my shop, in fact Edge still needs to come pick up some more of his lowers. I'm not a fly by night garage operation. Shoot me a PM or email to [email protected]

Yes, I also do MicroSlick. In fact what I like to do is with Berettas in particular is Micro Slick the locking block and pin. I do that at no additional charge for my Beretta customers. Thanks for bringing that up! |

id send it to Wilson combat... they may take longer but do great work on the beretta's I just bought another Beretta 92 FS and after doing the above pistol for a customer. I have one already but it will stay in its current state. This new one is for fun. I'm honestly considering becoming a Wilson Combat dealer just to get their Beretta parts. 92s are a pain in the ass to work on but they are always worth it in the end. Just beautiful firearms. I have spent my evening filling up my Brownells shopping cart with Wilson Beretta Parts as a matter of fact. Now to just pull the trigger and figure out what colors I want.

Sometimes they shrink during curing and fall out, other times they melt if heated too much, other times they seem okay, but they aren't. I replace every single a Glock liners with an OEM replacement for every Glock that comes through my shop. If you guys get your Glock Slides (or most other striker fired poly member pistols for that matter) Cerakoted, please keep this in mind with whoever you go to. I can't tell you how often I hear about this and it pusses me off every time someone gets screwed. |
