I've got a mirror thread running in GD and after initially getting a string of 10's, am now copping flak for the stapler and measuring device
Oh well......

British fillet, cooked medium rare with Coleman's mustard
Southerd fries
Lettuce and herb salad and fresh tomato

Bushmaster m4gery w/TA31RCO-M4
Benchmade fixed blade.
Leatherman Wave
Depth mic (that's the measuring device covered)
Stapler
Bulmers English Cider
Pentagon flash light

Opinions??

Mushrooms would have been nice! Eating is clearly a hazardous occupation in your neck of the woods

I didn't see the one you posted in GD, but upon checking my unofficial list of Dinner Pic Prerequisites, this one looks good to me.

(but I don't know about the Bulmer's... is it a hard cider?)

I forgot I was hungry until I saw this, BTW. Thanks a lot.

I'd have to rate it a 9 or 10, depending on the Bulmer's (It needed to be a non-alcoholic beverage, the last time I updated my list)

Actually, on second thought, I'll just rate it a 10 because it's English.

All dinner pics must have food and a firearm.
Other accessories should be a spare mag (forgot about this) a knife of the tactical variety, and a measuring device and stapler, but apparently there's some debate as to whether these still qualify.

Take pics of the dinner layout, post 'em and everyone votes on it.

There are always those who want to water down the requirements to meet their own needs.

There are rules, but they have never been actually listed, as far as I know. I made my own list and have been tempted to post it from time to time, but have had second thoughts. I think it's more about KNOWING what's correct (and perhaps compiling your own list so you'll get it right)... kind of an unspoken rule. The actual complete list is a closely-guarded secret, and can only be compiled over time by careful observation and by keeping detailed notes.

A few points of interest from my own list, which still changes, BTW:

No Heinz products (catsup/ketchup, etc.)
Bread
Non-alcoholic beverage (many people violate this one)

A few 'bonus' items:
550 cord
brass hammer
starter punch

It wouldn't hurt to throw in something that might qualify for bonus points, such as a pipe wrench (I would give extra points for that, but I can't speak for everyone).

Here's one I did a while back, although technically, it's a breakfast pic (Wife did the cooking):

Technically, I would have lost points because it doesn't have barbequed meat, however I did make up points with a few bonus items. Notice reading material, with BOTD and Tannerite ad. Also, warm biscuits are an acceptable substitute for bread, although some of the Southern boys were surprised that a Yankee would have biscuits for breakfast.

I've already said too much...

As you know, we don't do those biscuit things here. Otherwise you have the idea, and the only reason I posted my dinner pic on the UK board was to try and show some of our posters what goes on in other parts of the board.

The dinner pics are always a favourite of mine and I will strive to better my first attempt, which I thought was pretty good

ETA: yours is a good pic with all requirements
Rifle and spare mag
Sidearm w/reload
Bayonet
Measuring device
Stapler
Tac knife
Bayonet
Reading material
Seasoning and good food

I'll give you a 10

I'm sat here eating Cheese on Toast which might I add has paled into insignificance next to Marks fine cuisine, anyway by the time I got my AR/Surefire etc it had gone cold & still looked rubbish.
