Was wondering if there was any longer distance (300 and up) ranges, and or training facilities in central Texas near San Antonio preferably. I recently picked up my first M1A and want to maybe get into shooting some matches, but would like to spend some time trying my hand at some shots like that. Only had to do a few 300 pop ups in basic and for recert in the good ole army. But now that I have a 308 Id really like to get some experience in. So, any help would be great. Thanks.

One range is out at Deitz's Range, near New Braunfels.  It's behind their range, and is called the CTSA.  It goes out to 500 yards.  I think you need to join if you want to shoot out there on your own.  The STMTC holds monthly high power matches (200 yard reduce course) out there.  There's a couple clubs that have ranges out to 300 - 500 yards south and southeast of San Antonio, but you need to be a member to shoot out there.  Atascosa Rifle & Pistol Club goes out to 500 yards and Nimrod Rifle Club goes out to 300 yards.
