Does anyone know of an FFL in DuPage or Kane area that does a flat fee regardless of how many firerarms your purchasing? |

Hey Folks,
Thanks for the kind words. I occasionally get asked, "why don't you accept credit cards- I'll pay the 3%?" or "You'd get a lot more sales if you offered credit cards." - Probably true but... The problem is the hidden fees, risk of fraud or charge backs, and the added hours paperwork even when everything does work smoothly. Below is a list of the basic charges. Activation fee of $99.00 $249 one time fee for 36 months. 2.25% per transaction $2.52 fee per $100 of sales Statement charge of $7 per month Annual fee of $49.00 batch fee of $.30 per day when transactions take place $10 monthly gateway fee $.10 charge per transaction In addition there are different rates for debit cards and "qualified" cards vs. "unqualified" cards.. yadda yadda yadda.. In the end it just isn't worth it. Paypal maybe an option but so many people consider them anti-gun, I'm not sure if that would help or hurt? It looks like they may have changed their website and now allow approved dealers to use Paypal. I'll check it out along with their fee structure. Stay tuned no links to your own business, sorry - Codycoyote, |

Paypal still refuses to allow people to pay for firearms through their service.
The email reads: "Thank you for contacting PayPal. At this time PayPal has made the business decision, not to be involved with the sale of firearms. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again. Sincerely, PayPal, Acceptable Use Policy Department PayPal, an eBay Company" |

I do not use them for anything. Then I sold some crap on ebay and put in the message (NO PAYPAL ALLOWED) and they killed the auction. bunch of jerks. |
