Got out and scraped my driveway clear and went out for dinner.  Top layer of snow had some ice, but there wasn't too much underneath, did slide a little bit driving back up the driveway when I got home, was able to straighten out before getting to the garage, though.  If I weren't planning on upgrading vehicles this year, I'd go ahead and get some chains.

Slid all the way down to waffle house.

Slid sideways into the garage.

Went grocery shopping yesterday.

Made it into the office today. Usually 400-500 cars. Maybe 100 when I got there around 10:30. Most folks continuing to WFH.

I escaped after about 2 hours with the shovel this afternoon.    And I still cannot drive back down my driveway.

I'l be taking the Freightliner out in the morning.

I shoveled the ice and snow Tuesday afternoon with my son up to the top of the hill. This morning I walked it and form the top of the hill to the road was still a solid sheet of ice about 2-3 inched thick. I just didn't want to take the chance.

Looking from my driveway .

Looking back to the driveway.

Looking the 1/4 mile to the road.

I have been escaping every day for work.  Having a job is great, but I wished I could have stayed home at least Monday.

be safe,

I've been escaping to work every day as well, driving with 4 wheel drive and traction control off is a blast. They tried to cone off one big hill on my way to work, I just hammer up it all wheels spinning pinging off the rev limiter lol. The other 360 or so days a year all wheel drive is boring (It's a car not a truck so no off roading) have to enjoy it when I can!

Went out every day this week. Haven't needed chains period. Bought some 9 years go and I've never used them and I travel in TN & NC a lot.
