I put this in VA HTF but wanted to share here and in other neighboring HTFs if there's anyone interested
ALCON: Here's the latest info on the escort. We will be rallying up at the I-95 Rest Area, mile marker 155 Northbound (Prince William County, VA) @0700 Friday 6/27 and heading to Dover, DE. We will stage outside of the base (exact location TBD) and the escort of Staff Sergeant Stewart will begin at approximately 12:00 PM heading back south. We will publish the staging area outside of Dover AFB as soon as we have it for those who want to meet there. This will be a law enforcement escorted ride and therefore you must be at the beginning point in Dover and stay with the ride until its conclusion in Stafford. Due to safety concerns for all riders and especially the LEO's conducting the escort, dropping off or jumping in along the route will not be allowed due to the additional risk associated. This escort is for motorcycles only, no cages please. This is the best info we have at this point so please understand, this is subject to change. We will post any changes/updates as we receive them. All are welcome as long as you can make the entire ride. You should have at least a 160 mile fuel range to be safe. |

Another one here are the details as of now:
Just like last one for SSgt Stewart we'll be bringing him home to Stafford from Dover AFB. No details yet but I'll post them. Tentative date is 9/23 I'll be there. If there's any other riders let's get together. Biggest thing is to have at least a 5 gallon tank Sgt Strong was the MARSOC Raider killed last week in Herat. Cross posting in neighboring HTFs |

Details for escort ride for USMC SGT Charles Strong:
ALCON: Just received word from Stafford SO, the departure time tomorrow morning will be 0800 from the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department at 305 Jason Mooney Dr (off of Courthouse Rd in Stafford - Map link below). We will staging at the FD between 0700-0730. Please be aware of positioning so you do not block the ingress and egress of emergency vehicles. As with the last detail, there will be no jumping in and out of the pack allowed, you must make the entire ride. There are no planned stops so make sure you have approx. a 160 mile fuel range.
