However, this week other news have over-shadowed Chinese Flu in the media, a double murder from 16 years ago was solved yesterday (in my hometown, yay), and today the enquiry into PM Olof Palme's murder was officially concluded (without the killer ever being proven). All of this, combined with the black folks rioting over a dead Yank, has reduced the coverage on Corona in the MSM. |

I doubt any prosecutor would push it, but the next of kin could potentially do it. The investigators don't have any evidence, not even circumstantial, only guesses. |

12-06-2020 @ 23:59 48461 Confirmed cases 6053 Deaths Daily deaths back up @ 9. With the low numbers daily deaths seem more erratic but the total trend looks to be on the slow downward path. Dutch.gov say's they are hoping for some sort of vaccine by the end of the year. |

Seems the most important things are: - No big events concert like events, limit other types of gatherings. - Social distancing. - Secure and and monitor elderly care facilities. -Stay home if when ill. |

The Dutch CDC have stopped with their daily updates and will instead update once a week on Tuesday. The numbers are looking OK. And everything except things like lagre concerts/gatherings are GTG. Also public places like pubs are not allowed to pack people in like sardines. All in all the partial lockdown seems to have done it's job despite a rocky start a lot of people just chose not to act like total retards. We will see how it goes and if current in place protocols can mitigate a seccond wave. As far as I understand the planning the .gov wil monitor by region and basically lockdown were needed. Elderly care homes remain a concern. |

Weekly report from Tuesday 7th of July New positive tests: 432 Deaths :19 New ICU admissions: 9 As stated earlier reporting here has changed to weekly updates. Things are looking OK for this summer. Lockdown was a limited one here and I think that strategy payed off. The real test will be if we can keep a seccond wave under control. |

Weekly report from Wednesday 8 Tuesday 14th of July New positive tested: 534 Deaths :8 New ICU admissions: 16 Dutch CDC monitoring and taking a cluster based localized apporoach. Other measures include testing people being admitted to hospital. Shotage of caravans/camper vans. Prices for local holiday homes and B&B through the roof. Good thing I live 10 a minute bike ride from the best part of the beach. |

Weekly report from Wednesday 15 to Tuesday 21th of July New positive tested: 987 (almost 2x previous week) Deaths : 7 (-1) New ICU admissions: 19 (+3) People are loosing their self control. While the corona measures have been scaled down to a minimum we stil have an advised 1,5m rule. With packed bars and the seaside packed here last weekend it seems people think "oh wel the lockdown measures are gone so I can needlesly be a retard" The amount of new infections doesnt seem to translate to deaths yet but I would expect a rise in that next week. Places like care homes with the highest risks have put in place sepertate protocols to islolate floors/units if needed. |

Resarchers at the Radboud university have id'ed the a defect in the TLR7 gene that causes otherwise healthy people to suffer severe symptoms from the Corona virus. Males seem to more at risk becuase the gene is expressed on the X chromosome and males only have one of those (so I presume malesw don't have a backup?)
