| Anybody know of a gun store near them that happens to have a decent FAL clone on their shelves? I've been looking for a 308 rifle and have been leaning towards a FAL. I'm in the Smyrna area, but would be willing to drive around for a decent deal. |

+ 1 for Clyde. Not to take anything away from Bullseye, as it's a great shop too, but Clyde's more likely to have what you're looking for. I'm a proud FAL clone owner, but have to ask what you plan on getting one for? I see too many guys get one not realizing it's a battle rifle and think they'll get 1/2 moa groups right out of the box. What other rifles are you considering? |
I want a 308 rifle that I can put onto a paper plate at 100 yards with irons given practice. Reasonably priced and plentiful mags are a huge plus. I've shot a friends Springfield M1A, and it's a nice piece, but to be honest I don't like it enough to get one of my own. The only other ones I'm seriously considering are the DPMS 308's. |
FAL can do minute of paper-plat just fine. |
