I hate being dead in the middle, but I'll take it. Using a cross draw was a learning experience. Next time, I'm going with a side holster on the belt. Live and learn.
I am about two thirds of the way through watching 9th Company (a russian movie) with english subtitles. All in all ,it's been a great day. Thank you to you all for being so much cooler than the culture at certain other unnamed Jacksonville ranges. I have never walked away from the range not learning something from the wealth of knowledge you guys all collectively posess, and love the ego free, supportive environment. With ammo being as pricey as it is right now, FDCC is rapidly becoming my main source for range time. And I'm okay with it. Thanks again guys. |

Had a great time as usual. Thanks to Regina,Rob,Billy,Norm,Mike,Chuck for all the work you guys did today and any I may have missed. Sorry I wasn't more help today with having to field work related calls all day.Every call I took the person on the other end asked what all the noise was. I just told them is was my crappy work phone. |

I didn't feel like hanging 6 pounds of Nikon off of it today, but brought the camera out in hopes that someone would step up. David did precisely that, unbidden. I'm trying to upload the pics now. I had a great day, despite the "issues". Who wrote the COF's, was that you Rob? ETA: Pics are uploading This link should be ready by about 4:00 a.m. |

Hello All,
My first time out and I had a great time, hope to make it to many more. I found my piece of missing gear (Pistol Light), no need to ask anyone for it. I enjoyed seeing that my rig (ATS Warbelt) and Rifle/Pistol functioned well for me in this course. I hope my times will improve when I get more familiar with the courses. Thank you guys for having the event. Thank you, Rob Schroeder P.S. Sorry about the duplicate post on the old FDCC topic. |

I had a great time as well! Thanks to everyone that helped make this month’s match happen.
Chuck, I actually designed today’s courses. It was inspired by the various drills in the Dynamic Carbine Classes I’ve taken. If you guys liked today’s course, I encourage you to take a class from Chris Costa at Magpul Dynamics. You'll love it! It’s like FDCC on steroids x1000! |

Had a great time, as usual. Also enjoyed the company and conversation, as usual. Coming to FDCC is still one of the highlights of my month. Thanks to Billy for putting forward yesterday's course of fire and all the folks involved in the set up. Thanks to Chuck for bringing me back to my senses during my "wardrobe malfunction". I swear, I'll have nightmares of that damn pistol falling out of its holster for weeks! All in all, I got beaten pretty badly as I was clearly not hitting what I was aiming at but I had a great time. I never fail to learn something I didn't know previously every single time I come out. It's good to have a group of people that share a common interest and common goal and give soome practice on what works and what doesn't.
I look forward to seeing everybody at next month's shoot! Dev p.s. Thanks to Marcus and whomever was using Chuck's camera rig for all the great pics. |

Greeting folks! I'm new to all of this, sadly a member of a outdoor shooting club her in Jax which will remain nameless, and would love additional info on your shoots...maybe attend one to see how it all works???? Aloha, marc It's held the last Sunday of each month, with the exception of October, at the public range in Lake City, Florida. There are no range fees, match fees or membership. To participate, show up with a centerfire carbine w/ sling, a sidearm w/ holster, and a means to carry a couple spare mags for each. Observe four safety rules and four range commands. Come on out and jump in. |

Thanks for the info guys...sounds like a great place to shoot and learn...Lake City however, just a tad too far from Jax...boy wish we had something like that locally! Most of us come from Jax. First few times I went to the LC range I thought it was a long way out. Now the trip is nothing. So much better than the unnamed gun club in jax. Give it a try at least once. You may get hooked. |

benefits far outweigh the drive
+'s supportive environment lots of combined experience on the range zero ego/attitude no one screaming in your ear for doing a fucking double-tap creative courses of fire no one dropping racial epithets on the range (in contrast with certain other unnamed ranges) family friendly...seriously....a 12 year old comes with his dad all the time and embarasses most of us) wife friendly... only cost is voluntary donation great contests/cookout - won alot of great stuff in the raffle -'s 55 minute drive each way six dollars in gas |

Great job dad! I wouldn't expect anything less.
Had a good time, guys. I'm looking forward to my next one in August!
