I was absolutely wilted Sunday, my scores and the quality of the pics show it. I'm looking forward to next month. The new lens showed up Monday (figures). I'm looking foward to getting out there with it as much as if I had a new rifle! I'll need to get a monopod, or someone in far greater shape than myself to hold it up all day. It's like a Nikon Garand. |
I'm letting it grow until I get my tax stamp back.  Just wait until next month! Be a hippy for sure.  |

Thanks for the pix and scores, Chuck! So this was great and all, but I think we should kick things up a notch and make it really challenging. Like say you have to wear some crazy costumes. W00t! I won something! I usually only win a big frackin bag of bad luck!  Kudos to the HommieDaKlown and TampaSsgt for not automatically assuming Harley was a motorcycle reference like everyone else does! Secondly, the first pix is in my list of recurring desktops as it is the epitome of nerd porn and the second pix is the decal on my rifle but I don't think you can see it in any of the above FDCC shots because she's on the other side.

Next one is August 31st. The matches are always held on the last Sunday of the month (except Oct.) at the Lake City rifle/pistol range that is run by the Florida Wildlife Commission. Don't remember the exact name right off the top of my head so you can get directions but someone else can probably help me out there. It's free to shoot and anyone can and is encouraged to come. All you need is a center-fire rifle/carbine/SMG, with at least 2 magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition. A center-fire pistol is also highly recommended since some of the COFs also require pistol work. If you win, you don't win anything except bragging rights for the month until the next shoot, and it's a great way to see what works and what doesn't on your carbine in a practical shooting environment as opposed to just plinking away. There's probably somethings I'm forgetting but I hope i covered the basics. Hope to see ya' out there. -Glenn |
