Are there any FFL's in DFW that will accept a handgun from a non ffl? I am wanting to trade handguns, but was told to make sure the ffl accepts  from non ffl's. I called one local shop and was told that this is against the law. I would appreciate if someone could shed  some light on this thank you.

What part of DFW? and, no it is not illegal for an FFL to have a firearm sent to him from a non-FFL.  What local shop told you that

FFLs are lying sacks of shit (well some are) with their interpretation of the law.  Seems like it always puts $ in their pockets.

I accept firearm shipments from non FFL's. All I require is a copy of their drivers license (they can black out their birthdate if they want).

An FFL who refuses to accept shipments from nonFFL's isn't making money off ANYONE. He either believes it's against the law (it's clearly not) or he's worried that the non FFL will mail him an unregistered machine gun which will arrive while ATF is doing an inspection (paranoid).

Arlington Arms and The shooters club both said "No way that is against the law"!

I ended up using military gun supply.
