FFL transfer > Washington

I am wondering what the going rate is on transferring a handgun. I was told at a place today that it was 45 for the transfer and 35 for shipping. Is that about standard?

Not sure what is normal but my guy charges $25 for firearms and $50 for suppressor transfer. YMMV

A few months ago, for me, it was ~$42. for shipping to local FFL, and $30. for the transfer.

My local guy in Tacoma charges $30 for long guns and $40 for handguns. I've seen most local retailers charge that or plus $10-15.

My local FFL is $15 for long and $20 for handguns. Beats the $75 the local gunship charges.

I use Firearms Engineering Design & Utility Products in Sultan. Joe is the owner and while it is a small operation his transfer fee is $25 + 8.6% WA sales tax. You can check out his website here at http://monroegunshop.com/ .

It is probably a 25 minute drive from Woodinville.

Low Priced Guns in Bellevue will do them for $29, I've always had a very good experience with them and have bought several guns there...

$80 for a transfer is a rip off, and their way of telling you they really are not interested in handling transfers.

That's where I had the transfer I referred to above done. I was very pleased with them, and plan to use them again.
