| I got my FOID card in the mail today and they used my DL picture instead of the one that I sent them in the mail. Picture looks nothing like me now. I have hair and lost some weight. |
| With a wild guess I would say about 45 days. I sent it in and they returned it to me because I had an old application so I had to re send it. Funny thing is THEY removed the photo from the old application and attached it to new application. Either way I am happy because I didn't realize my old one had expired. I am all legal again. |

It took my FOID renewal ~7-8 weeks (although the check was cashed quickly). So much for the 30 day processing window. I called and the guy I spoke with said they were running 3-4 weeks behind and just leave any guns at home until it showed up They also used the pic from my DL instead of the one I sent. It states on the FIOD application they may do that although I thought I had my DL pic taken before they were using the digital system...guess not. The FOID card has a new look to it. Also your signature is already on the card when received so no forgetting to sign it anymore |
I don't see why they couldn't tell you your expired Foid is valid until your new one shows up. |
