After posting in support of Garage, NAM has found himself on the banned list.
Maybe his "FREE GARAGE" thread was done in poor taste. I'd argue his actions were deserving of a wrist slap, but for the most part NAM doesn't strike me as a problem child. Can NAM come back, please, after a short time out? |

I was wondering where he's been. I even checked his profile just yesterday, to learn he hasn't logged on here since 11/20. Now I know why.  His wife had a pacemaker implanted recently, and his Dad's heath hasn't been the greatest either... so I was concerned something happened to someone close to him.
Don't want to see him banned, as he's a great guy.... but better that, than what I feared was causing his absence. Hope it's just temporary.  AFAIK, he has no previous "strikes" against him.
edit for corrections: I checked his last log in date on wednesday (11/27), not thursday (at that time it was 11/20). He was last logged in on 11/27 at about 10:30pm. |

Really, over that thread? I was wondering where he was. Thread in poor taste? Dunno. But, I don't think the posts or thread were ban worthy. I've seen stupider and farther reaching in GD it seems regularly. He's always been friendly, honest, and great to chat with to me. |

Someone on site staff took offense to either the thread or one or more posts. To be honest I'm surprised I didn't attract more attention myself.
Be careful not to be offensive here. Like I said, if site staff found something he said offensive I could see a short timeout, but to the best of my knowledge he has been perma-banned. |

So apparantly it was thought about for a few days before anything was done. Thought I read somewhere this kind of thread was traditional. I'm all about tradition!!! Don't know about that. This is a first for me. I like Garage & NAM both.... a lot. Every other person I've ever seen banned was a "good riddance" reaction from me, and the thread was more of a celebration than a "WTF for!!???" . |

Instead of 20 posters jumping at the chance to start a thread trying to save somebody... We all make our own decisions, we decide what we want to post and what is in that post... Big boy rules...Garage/S & P made his, and so has NAM. It's a big internet out there... |

What NAM Said in the other thread was no worse than what goes on in GD on staff call outs. I may disagree with him and others on letting garage back, but I hope NAM works things out with staff. Nam seems like a good guy he just was upset over the the ban, and how he thinks things aren't fair here in some aspects. I've read a lot of posts from him and I think he's a good contributing member to the forum.
Let's not Make this into a trainwreck. |

I think the part that troubles me the most is the roughly what, week later ban? I haven't been here the longest, but that seems out of the norm here to have something like a ban handed down so late in the game - an if it's a permaban, I would have figured it would have been handed down in the thread. |

I am as powerless as the rest of you in this one, but I honestly do hope they let him back in (NAM that is). Not sure of everything going on in that thread as I could tell there was more to things than just on the surface.
