[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Feb15

2/6/2003 2:01:50 AM EDT
The anti-(good things) crowd is going to be at the Seattle Center at 12:00 on the 15th.

This one is going to be a anti-war/America/sane logic protest, I for one am going.

Look for the young white male w/ dark hair holding up a "Kill Saddam"/"Anti-War=Terrorist Support" sign. I'll probably be surrounded by SPD (Seattle Police) so that no one kills me while I protest the protesters.

Anyone is welcome to join me; in fact I'd really like it if someone would show up so that if I'm killed or beat up, someone has got my back.

See ya there!!

Nah Olympia don't scare me much; at least as I don't get lost.  I just like to keep south of the Thurston County line.  I am an L.C.R.

I go to school in Olympia, and today I had two guys in dreds and ratty clothes trying to tell my class how the IMF and World Bank are trying to keep people down, and talking about capitalist conspiracies.

SuperChicken likes Hooters.  I like Hooters.

Too bad I can't go.

I might go, if you guys figure out the time and place to meet, and tell me.

Everyone likes Hooters! I gotta go to a range/safety tour of Snoqualmie Valley Rifle Club at 9am. That takes like 2 hours.

I never shoot at a range because the ranges 'round here don't like 16 year olds.

Okay, here's my idea for a meeting place, and my suggestion for a meeting time is 10am. Time emough for all of us to get there, a few of us to get some food in our bellies, and BS for a while before we are going to have to leave (about 11:30).

MY suggestion if that you brign about $20 for the day, as it seems Hooters may be in order for an "After Protesting the protesters" Celebration.

Also, dress warmly; and if you carry, do so. (These Anti's are pretty violent, remember 11-99 WTO?) We all have eachother's back in this, strength in number. This is the Wolf's den we are walking into.

Shari's on Aurora & N 150th ST
15252 Aurora Ave.
Seattle WA 98133

Go N on I-5 until you gome up to "N 175th ST" Exit (about 5 min North of Seattle)
At the bottom of the offramp, take a left and follow underneath the overpass of I-5 (you are on N 175th ST).
Continue straight until you climb a tall hill.
At the top of this hill, you will get to a light where 175th intersects Aurora (Hwy 99)
Take a left here, and follow Aurora south through about 2 more lights (about 1 1/2 miles).
At the intersection of "N 155th ST" (Chevron on immediate left, Safeway on far left) Shari's will be on the left coming up after you cross the intersection. Again, it is in a Plaza of sorts.

im 18 in 2 weeks!!

anyway, CK and I will try our best to go, but we'd be there no sooner than 12. It'll be a bitch to find you guys after the protest starts, but we might be able to ask the cops depending on how things go.

Do you know which part of the seattle center you guys and the other protesters are gonna be? i havent been there in such a long time i forgot what it looks like.
2/12/2003 6:56:47 AM EDT
[#31]
Are you guys gonna wear AR15.com t-shirts?  I may try to get down there after the gun show but have no clue where to look for y'all.  And like SuperChicken said, is there any idea yet as to what part of Seattle Center the protests are supposed to be held?

Who is going to bring gas masks in case the cops use tear gas on either side?
2/12/2003 9:06:34 AM EDT
[#32]
Okay, the protest is going to be held at the "International Fountain" (The big damn fountain.) See #17

Along the Southeastern edge of the fountain area is a building called the "Center House".#22 It is basically a 3 story food court.

At the North end of the Center house there is an Entrance to the building with a telephone right outside. My suggestion is to meet up right outside at the phone at the Center House#22

Th area that we would be at is a great place to couter-protest because it gives us a multitude of escape routes if things get hairy.

Yes, I am bringing my Gas mask, and my Glock. I suggest you all bring yours in a backpack, just in case. Believe me we will blend in better this way.

I think that the speakers will be just north of building #23 because this is where most people speak during gatherings. It has a podium area built into it.

Is there any indication that this event may turn violent?  I mean have the protesters issued some kind of threat or something or are you just making sure you are prepared for the unknown?

Basically preparing for the unknown.

Remember the WTO protest in '99? That was supposed to be a non-violent protest, but we all remember what happened there. I plan on peacefully walking out of there myself, but in case of some unforseen happenings (SHTF), I'm gonna have an exit strategy. No long haired hippy is gonna find me defenceless when he tries to kill me for shouting "Free Iraq!!! Kill Sadam!!!"

i think there is only going to be a few hundred at most. my plan is to go south on 5th Ave N, turn left onto Spring St and hit I-5. quickest and simplest way for me (assuming i park in the 5th Ave parking garage).

maybe they mean 25k COMBINED over the entire US.
