I finally won one off of Gunbroker. $470 shipped. Bluing is in great condition and everything is stock. I have the original wooden grips but I would rather put the wear on the Hogue that came with it. I've put about 10 mags through it and have had no failures.![]() For you gun pic nuts, here is a link to my photobucket page for the Hi-Power: Jhuggans Photobucket Hi-Power Album |
You know what they say about guys with small hand dont ya Gav?........................................Small gloves!! |

NICE!!! Mine is my favorite handgun. I shoot it better than any other I've ever shot, and it fits my hand like a glove. I've been watching several on Gunbroker. I've got a blued model with the small sights and am looking for something with bigger "combat sights" and that I don't mind shooting the crap out of. (like a parkerized or painted version, such as a Mk.III). |

A lot of people on Gunbroker are asking rediculous prices. Quite a few are asking over $700 for a standard BHP, even some of the ones assembled in Portugal. I could understand for a war era BHP but not anything afterwards. I won an auction about 3 weeks ago, and the same day the place that I bought it from (a pawn shop in Fresno CA) got a call from the local PD to hold the gun because it was possibly stolen. 8-( At first I thought it was a scam but I have the detectives number and a case number. If it turns out clean I asked if I would be able to get it for the same price. Even though I already bought this one, I may still do it. I was watching about 10 different HP's for the last month and a half. Every time they would end, I'd re-add them so I got to see how they changed their prices. I started looking for HP's after I held a new one at Bass Pro. You're completely right, something about it fits perfectly in my hand too. Better than any other gun I've ever shot. 2nd would be a 1911, but the wife wasn't a big fan of the 45 caliber. I don't have a very strong grip, in addition to not being very big, and a lot of wider frames make me feel like the gun is going to jump out of my hand when shooting. |
