Well I was just curious if someone had a kit from them. I'm trying to identify a complete upper.

Does anyone know exactly what is stamped on thier barrels?

What forge mark would be on the upper?

Anybody know of a website?

Try www.cmmginc.com that is their webpage, they post here under CMMG...

I have quite a few items from them, Barrels are marked C MP CMMG if I recall correctly.
Upper forge mark is pretty meaningless, there are like 4 forges where they are produced, Cardinal, Cero, Alcoa, and another or two, the Forgeries will then go to a machine works where they will be milled and drilled and roll marked on lowers and not much else on uppers, you would have a bit of trouble denoting a CMMG "UPPER" from any other. Last time I checked they don't and never have sold "Kits" I have CMT Uppers and a Couple CMMG uppers, can't really tell the difference!

what markings are on what you have? Might be easier to deduce what it is.

The fire for effect guy was at the last show selling his parts sets, basically cmmg stuff unassembled I think dont quote me.  But thats what it looked like he was selling the reciver vices and such to put togeather your own uppers.  Price wasnt bad, but then again you can buy a whole gun from cmmg used at $550, and new at $600-$650  I would vote buy cmmg

As far as the website, isn't it just the 'store' for the matches?  I've used it for the past few matches I've gone too...I don't see any links on there to buy guns or parts at all, and when CMMG has been to gunshows, afaik, they are CMMG, I don't recall seeing fire for effect at all at the tables.  (But I haven't been to a show in about a year so...)

I'm sure John will chime in here soon enough...

I don't know their exact relationship, but I do know that Fire for Effect was at the last St. Charles show paired with CMMG.  They were using the same register and CC machine.  I purchased a couple of the SS follower mags from them and some spare parts that came right from the CMMG table.  So, I assume they are one in the same, but could be wrong.

I think they're in bed together.

Yes, Fire for Effect was at the KCI EXPO last time around. Selling just CMMG kits......that I thought were marked differently on the bbl.

Can anybody ID an upper that is only marked:    5.56 NATO 1-9      ????? Its KC Roughneck's and we have been trying to figure out who made it. It is a flat top upper with chromoly bbl. and has a cerro(key hole) forge mark. bbl is a standard h-bar.

5.56 Nato 1-9 is the exact stamping on the bbl.
