| In the wake of Katrina did OR ever pass any anti confiscation / forced evac laws? |
Unfortunately, that can be read as saying: Plebs can keep guns BUT the military can take them aways, subject to an order of a civil power. That is even more poorly worded than the 2nd. |
Well, any reasonable person would not even try to come up with some horse hockey like that. I said reasonable. -Mark. |
To be clear (as I understand it) - no laws to the contrary were in effect prior to Katrina in N.O.. |
Yeah, but still, even if there is a law: some higher-up with a college degree says "first priority is to go take the sheeples guns, for their own good, so they don't hurt them selves", cops come to your house and give you a dirrect order "surrender your guns" if you disobey they'll arrest you, or you can fight and some one gets hurt, I'm sure if you killed a cop and tried to say it was because he was trying to do something illegal you'd still go to prison. All I'm saying is that I'm not to impressed with any of those laws they have come up with. I'd be impressed if they said the LEO who takes your guns is commiting a felony and gets a mandatory 5 year sentance. The way it is I'm convinced that the exact same thing would happen again, maybe some people could/would sue to recover the value of their illegaly seazed weapons, may or may not win.

When the law abiding Citizens of this country are told to surrender their arms, the HIGHEST law is already being violated. To make another lower law to support the higher is ludicrous and feel good legislation that will be ignored again by JBTs or the countries standing Army when it suits their needs as it did in Katrina. The facts were made bare in Katrina, this nation is no longer a nation of laws when the Gov. wants them out of the way. You have 3 choices and denial is still a choice... 1. Lay down, and graze on the grass they supply you in the Super-Dome (or camps that are now manned and ready to receive you) if you are not raped or killed while waiting. 2. Fight for you rights and die labeled as a "criminal" because you would not leave your home. 3. Avoid being detected when they come to roust you out. |
That's where i feel i have an advantage being young and unmarried. As long as i knew my parents were SAFE i wouldnt have a problem hiding my guns + ammo, slinging a SHTF rifle over my shoulder and shoving off into the woods for a few weeks. I'm no mountain man but in a situation like that i feel confident in my abilities to scrounge and avoid detection by a force that really probably wouldnt be that motivated to find me. |
What are these manned camps you speak of? Do you have proof (maps, photos, etc)? Please share to inform and prepare people. Here's an interesting thread I started in the Iowa forum after seeing a national news story about police forcing people to stay way from their homes even after the waters had receded. |
Im usually one to take conspiracy theories with a pinch of salt, but lets just say after reading/watching some of that stuff i'm glad i'm an armed citizen. |
