Saw this over on calguns...As they have similar laws to NJ, and a folding stock is not allowed, they put a piece of tubing over the internal folding mechanism to prevent it from folding. Would this be legal in NJ to fix a folding stock open?

Well the law doesnt say it has to be permanent but i wouldnt do anything where the piece would just fall out. Id rather make it so i would need a tool to take out whatever is keeping the stock from folding. That way you dont go from legal to illegal in the middle of emptying a mag because the damn thing fell out.

they are using either a cotter pin or a small pipe clamp. Both seem to hold the tube in place and prevent the mechanism from moving/folding.

After reading the post about the guy being arrested for a pocket knife, I would take the stock to a ship yard and have a welder weld it to a fixed stock lol
