I would research the corp or trust route.

Information on forming a trust for Title 2 weapons

Once you form your trust is much easier to use it for your Title 2 toys.

Saves money / time on fingerprinting / photos and wait for LEO to sign.

Thanks for the info. I want to short barrel my HK94 but thought the corporate angle was too much trouble.
