I'm thinking of a free float handguard and have been offered a KAC RAS - I think it mught be a chinese copy though. Has anybody any experience of clone handguards. It seems fairly well made but I'm not sure if a chinese copy is good enough, especialy as i wopuld nneed to use the barrel nut. Any thoughts? cheers Nick |

Yankee Hill's are a little heavy and maybe a bit too fat. They're good for the money though. I used to have YHM rails but replaed them with Daniel Defense ones which are much slimmer and lighter. They're also much more expensive .Try the main EE or ebay as they come up on there regularly. |
I'll have to disagree with the " Little heavy " Bit, The One i sold to Rixy was as light as a feather, The one i have on my .22 is a little on the heavy side (Not to much ) But the lightweight one is a nice weight. Steve |

The Yankee Hill lightweight rail is no problem at all. I've not seen the standard so I can't comment on that. I was out foxing last night and lugged the gun around for about 4 hours and it wasn't a problem. I had a look at a Daniel Defence rail but I'd have needed to take out another mortgage to afford it |
Yes, but it's better to piss them off with a lighter one. Besides, Daniel Defense was chosen by the Naval Warfare Centre as the rail for the SPR rifle's (for the SEAL's Yankee Hill = ![]() Daniel Defense =
