A smiley face is not a free ticket, or so I have been told.

Correct.

I've worked pretty hard to overlook various slight COC violations, in hopes that each individual could or would 'moderate' themselves. But, I don't have to.

Let me be clear, again.

Anything, that is an insult directed at one member or group, usually very off topic, that could have just as easily been conveyed through IM, should have been, and should be.

Antagonistic and inflamatory posts meant as slander or insult, need to be somewhere else besides this open forum.

EPH 4 29 Let no tainted word at all be issuing out of your mouth, but if any is good toward needful edification, that it may be giving grace to those hearing.
30 And do not be causing sorrow to the holy spirit of God by which you are sealed for the day of deliverance.
31 Let all bitterness and fury and anger and clamor and calumny be taken away from you with all malice,
32 yet become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, dealing graciously among yourselves, according as God also, in Christ, deals graciously with you.

Not sure about that photo but there is a son's of the revolution re-enactors club that hold an event at the Bothell Kenmore Golf course where the bridge goes over the slough.

Wrong war dude, you must be thinking of the Civil War.
Checking the internet I found this:

On 19 April 1775 local Massachusetts militiamen and regular British troops began the War of American Independence at Lexington and Concord
