nothing. he's referring to the six guys who were planning an attack on the base, or some such. www.cnn.com/2007/US/05/08/fortdix.plot/index.html en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Fort_Dix_attack_plot ar-jedi |

use either a fixed BM "post-ban" M4 sotck, or a std M4 stock which has been permanently fixed in place. for the latter, i use a combination of blind pins (3), and Gorilla Glue. you can beat on the stock for hours afterwards and it will not move 1mm. ar-jedi |

Let's see, normally.....red is stop, green is go, but not on a live fire range, lol. After 28 years in the Army reserves, with two weekends a year spent at Dix, you would think I would not be surprised... red is shoot, green is cease shooting....but you are free to walk down and check your targets--- OK, can live with that ! |

Is the OLD MAN in the Tower dead yet Once upon a time , Arfcommers would hold 3 or 4 events a year at Range 14 and you could find at least one Arfcommer there every weekend. We would bring the evil looking stuff from around the world, bring WWII Relics that really work, double tap and bump fire was the norm. There were so many of us there, we had door prizes and raffle, we even had PIE Eventually, that fateful day would arrive, someone called the Federal Police who normally patrol the base to file a complaint against one of our own. Without the courtesy to come out and ask or investigate, the caller makes the assumption that a firearm on the range is illegal, thus the call to the Police. The Police arrive and question the Arfcommer, they decide everything is good and leave. The Boycott Begins ! Seems so long ago Some of us are willing to return to Range 14 and revive the days of past, some will never step foot there again. |
The old mans job was taken over for a little bit but hes back in the towere as we speak. Guy doesnt sound too good either. But who called the police, someone who worked at the range or someone random guy who was shooting? |
I remember going to Ft. Dix to Shoot back in the mid 80’s when I was in the Army Reserve. Range # 14 was a lot of fun back then Just thinking, but maybe it is time for the return of the “AR15.com folks” to Ft. Dix. There is power in numbers and specially now that you have to become a member ,we may constitute a large voting block in any Ft. Dix Gun Club Meeting. ![]() We need a middle ground for the guys from both North and South Jersey to shoot. We never want to loose the right to shoot at Ft. Dix. Remember, a right not exercised is a right lost !!!! Maybe this could be the subject of conversation after the shoot on February 9, 2007. Thoughts ???!!!!! Iggyort |
Range office personnel called as far as I know. |
There will certainly be discussions about Range 14 |
Yeah , that's ok but you will miss the opportunity to shoot your AR at 300 yards And ALL THE HOT PIES I am bringing Iggyort |
