Savage 300 Winchester Magnum package.. non accu-trigger, detachable mag. Couldn't beat $319.95

You did good, .300win mag is one of the best calibers available.

I had a Browning A-Bolt in .300WM for years and it always killed what I shot with it.

It really depends on the gun/stock. If it were a Ruger then it for sure would suck, but my Browning absorbed the recoil very nicely.

I'm not so sure about this thing absorbing much of anything looking at the construction, but we will see.
