Hello All,
I have a couple of suppressors and am very interested in taking my first full auto plunge.  I have read a lot on different forums and dealer sites, but still don't know all that much.  I'm trying to really figure out what would be a first FA gun that I could shoot a couple of times a year and not turn out to be too bad of an investment over the long term.  Are there any local guys that would lend their first hand experience???  I have looked hard at the Ruger AC556 and considered buying a Colt M16A1 - thoughts?

I appreciate your time,

Barry

First one for me was an M16, then went backwards with PS M11 .380, Bowers can, HALO, list goes on.......If you are in NE and need a C3 I have a good recommendation.

I think Ive settled in on the Ruger ac556...  Cost, ability to convert easily to .22, will fit a suppressor I already have are the biggest factors. Anybody locally have one or experience shooting one?

Ruger will service your AC556... Only MG out there that has factory service available. I am not local anymore, or you could have run a few mags thru my M16.

For me it would either be a Uzi or a RDIAS. So many different caliber options with a RDIAS.

Im all over the place to be honest...  I have kinda given up on the M16 and its a ac556 or Uzi.  Both are about the same price.  If I had a particular reason to go one way or the other becuase of the deal I would.  I am ready to buy...  Just have to figure it out

Most fun I've ever had with a gun was a full-auto, suppressed MP5.

FWIW, there is a .22 conversion for the Uzi from Subgun Ord. that would put the Jack Ass Ceiner conversion to shame for the AC556.  I have one on my SMG and it rarely sees any 9mm.  9mm is also a little cheaper than 5.56.

After demoing a few guns including a Thompson, M16, and several MP5 variants I bought a sear for the HK roller locked series.  I've got two 9mm hosts and one 5.56mm.
