I can't be the only one that is pissed off about this!
Twice I have taken off a half day (actually I tried for an entire day once) to go and renew my permit. I expect the govt to be slow but I'm down right pissed! My branch of probate office is there northern annex and they only have one person working there. She isn't fast but the fact there is only one person there pisses me off. She processes 4 applications an hour and if you aren't there by 7am you will not get seen! Surely there are some forms of disenfranchisement? When I get up we called it "a go slow".. Where people intentionally go slow to limit numbers served. Has anyone tried the location down town? If they have more clerks I would certainly try that! |

| I went to the North Fulton Annex two and a half weeks ago to renew mine as well. The probate office opened at 0830, I got there at 0845, there were 4 people ahead of me. I was out of there in 45 minutes. There was only one lady working the pistol permit counter and while i didn't think 5 people in 45 minutes is speedy, I didn't think it was horrible. I'm thankful that I didn't have to go to downtown ATL to renew mine like I did 10 years ago. That took about half a day and having to walk unarmed from the parking deck to the courthouse and back was not an easy feeling. I'll take the North Fulton Annex anytime. |
