Boo.  I guess that leaves the SBR Mosin category empty this year.

Awesome.

You talked me into it man. Sounds like a wonderful event and I’m pretty stoked to come down and see how it goes. Sighted in my new NX8 1-8x on my 16” CWAR and shot some decent groups this morning. Hoping to just come have a good time and not be last.

I guess you can go ahead and count me in too!

I’ve been saving some this lacquer coated stuff for an event like this.

Some people just hope they can get 25 holes in a single paper.  Maybe next year that can be you.

I'll get you on the roster.  I'm glad you can come out and play with your internet friends.

Great.  Glad you can make it. I'll get you added to the roster soon.

That's a nice scope.  Southerncross ran one of those for a long time.

Truck handles well, too. 54/46 fr/rear, I just don’t have a tire for that at the moment.

If there is an award for "rear bag closest to 96 in without going over", I'm prepared to win that. I made a square box and then figured a cylinder would allow me to optimize better. I probably should be working on my loads instead...

As much as I usually try to stick with steel case for most things, I did order some 77gr AAC for this too. I hope to get out this week to try it out.

Excellent choice.

The 77gr options have shot more consistent for me than the 75’s, but both have been sub moa.

Have either the AAC or SMK 77gr projectiles shown themselves to outperform the other?

In the lots that I’ve tested, they seem to be very close, with the SMK’s performing slightly better (we’re talking 0.45moa compared to 0.56moa). A lot will be chamber/barrel dependent, as well as lot to lot variation, imo.

Speaking of ammo, in the true spirit of the MOA challenge, I have assembled myself half a case of mexican match ammo.  And I assembled a gun out of spare parts.  Preparation is low, but expectations are high.
