That biking is dangerous.
I was there on the side of the road on 183 just coming into Lockhart when the former mayor of Austin, Bruce Todd wrecked his bike. The moron crashed just as I passed him, so I pulled a 180 (after going through a driveway), pulled over and ran up to the fella. He was layed out on the right lane and a river of blood was coming out of his face. Being the Eagle Scout, I checked his breathing and he was pumping some air, but was out cold. Another fella stopped who was former EMT and we very carefully removed his helmet (which saved his life from the impact) since it was restricting his breathing. We had a 20 min wait for EMS and the sheriff. Since nobody hit him, once he was loaded, we all went on our way. What kind of dumb ass would ride a bike on 183 between Luling and Lockhart? |
