Just curious.  A question for those who live there.  Why is District 2 blue?  Isn't this prime military country and good ole boys?  I looked at Bishop's homepage he seems very patriotic, very Blue Dog, but I would not have expected this area to be blue on the map.

Columbus is full of Dems and FSA. Throw in Albany which is also filled with FSA and that's probably 60-70% of the population in the district.

Same here. Albany, Columbus, and everything in between are full of FSA types. Black people in this part of the state vote almost exclusively Democrat, and they make up more than 70% of the population in Albany.
