Is anyone in the North Dallas area, or willing to travel to the North Dallas area, that can help me with a garage door. Somebody, me, screwed up royally today, and I sure could use some help with it.
I went to take the mutha to work, as I do since I'm laid-off, and I opened the garage door, but didnt buckle my seat belt, lit the fires on the truck, and backed up, into the door as it was coming up. Maybe 3 MPH. Normally when I do that same routine I buckle up, and in that time, the door is all the way up. I've done this hundreds of times, I dont know why I screwed up today. The door isnt totally FUBAR, but I need to fix it for the moms, when I am not there to take her to and from. Anyone? I will supply beer, food, and/or .45acp ammo. I am at your convenience. I can tomorrow some time. I can tell you it is a two man job, that requires more tools than I have now.
Its not something that needs to be fixed right this very minute, but if anyone is free this weekend, or sometime next week. ETA: I gotta go pick up the parental unit now, so I wont be back on until sometime tomorrow. Oh, and my cell is dead, so.... What a shit-tastic day. |

You need to add one more thing to your "routine"...Look behind you when you back up. Don't rely on some "routine" to keep you out of trouble. Sorry, I'm 180 miles south or I would help you. Gringop |

I want to thank NimmerMehr for the assistance. Alot beating on metal, cursing, confusion, etc resulted in a garage door that is now fixed.
NH, remember what I said about BMVs? WEll, some asshole broke into some cars after you left. The results, one crook with a beat down by some homeowners in the neighborhood and a visit to Lew! |
