I got my G19 through the LE "Blue Gun" Program. We have these available at NOVA Armament, LLC but numbers are limited. We also accept GSSF members. Give us a call: 703-435-4222
Pretty Pretty Gun: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs074.snc4/35062_1459027709259_1040393186_1358225_5293868_n.jpg Pros: Um... it's a G19, do I really need to go into this? I mean, it's the Vanilla flavor of firearms, it's the Honda Civic of Firearms. Ok, ok. I will. Yes, it has the Dual Recoil spring setup the same as the G17 and G22 Gen 4 pistols, it also has that psuedo RTF style grip. I didn't put any of the backstraps on and smallest grip seems a little thinner than my Gen 3 G19. I need to take a measure to it and go from there. It shoots a little softer than my Gen 3 G19, but not all that much with standard pressure rounds. It was noticeable when I shot off the Speer Gold Dot 124 Grain +P rounds though. For the most part, it shoots like a standard G19 just a little softer, I put 200 rounds through it last night, mostly ball with one box of 50 JHP rounds: 115 FMJ S&B 115 FMJ Blazer Brass 115 FMJ Federal. 124 Grain +P Speer Gold Dot. I had exactly 0 failures to fire, 0 failures to extract, 0 jams of any kind, and the dual recoil spring assembly didn't jump out and pimp slap me because it's evil and Glock never should have deviated from the 3rd Generation or even 2nd Generation gun design. Cons: It's not a 1911? Seriously, I couldn't find anything I disliked about the gun. More range reports will be coming shortly, as will a side by side comparison. I thought I'd get my initial thoughts out first and I know they are incomplete. TJ |

Haven't heard about the those springs yet. Can you drop em in 3rd Gens? Nope, and part interchangeability is why I haven't looked too closely at the Gen 4s yet. you might not be able to swap individual parts out but i have a 3rd gen top end on my 4th gen 19 now and it works fine. |
